Some two weeks after the economic stimulus rebate program ended, two in three Americans reported that they received a tax rebate this year, with the highest percentage among those in the middle-income segment of American society.
About three in four Americans see now as a bad time to find a quality job, but Republicans tend to be considerably less pessimistic, with 57% holding this view compared to 86% of Democrats.
A full 60% of Americans now say they are cutting back significantly on their household spending to compensate for higher gas prices; only 38% said this when gas prices were shooting up three years ago.
Millennials also are more likely than other generations to go online and compare prices.
